Jay A. Campbell, PhD. is an Assistant Visiting Professor in the Department of Health and Exercise Science at Wake Forest University, where he teaches Statistics in the Health Sciences (HES 262), Human Physiology (HES 350) Human Physiology Lab (HES 350L), Nutrition in Health and Disease (HES 351), Exercise Physiology (HES 353) and Assessment Techniques in Health and Exercise Science (HES 354). Dr. Campbell received his BS from the University of Alabama (Tuscaloosa, AL) in Human Performance/Kinesiology; MS in Exercise Physiology from the University of Alabama (Tuscaloosa, AL); and PhD from Springfield College (Springfield, MA) and the University of Alabama (Tuscaloosa, AL) in Exercise Physiology with a minor in Biostatistics.

Additionally, Dr. Campbell serves as a Sport Science consultant for various Universities around the United States and Canada.  His research focuses on the human performance strategies, recovery practices, and assessment technologies utilized in both sport and tactical training environments.  Dr. Campbell is a former Division 1 sport coach for NCAA Women’s Gymnastics (Springfield College, University of Rhode Island, and the Ohio State University) and volunteer strength coach for both Football (University of Alabama) and Olympic Sports (University of Alabama and Murray State University).
