Claire Newman

Dr. Newman received her Bachelor’s Degree from College of Charleston, her Master’s Degree from University of Virginia in Exercise Physiology, and her Doctorate of Philosophy in Kinesiology from the University of North Carolina Greensboro. Her doctoral work looked at the purposeful integration of life skills and conflict resolution into youth sport. Dr. Newman even took this work abroad to Ghana and Togo to utilize sport to combat violent extremism and risky behavior in youth.
