Brynn L. Hudgins, PhD, is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Department of Health and Exercise Science where she teaches Lifestyles and Health (HES 100). Dr. Hudgins received her BS in Kinesiology from Campbell University, and her MS in Exercise Physiology from James Madison University. She then pursued her PhD in Kinesiology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Her doctoral work focused on using ambulatory assessment methods (i.e., ecological momentary assessment, daily diary, accelerometers) designed to capture behavior as well as its antecedents and consequences as they occur in naturalistic settings.
Dr. Hudgins takes a student-first approach to teaching with the belief that education should be an engaging, inclusive, and transformative experience centered on continuous improvement. By integrating active learning strategies, fostering critical thinking, and promoting a growth mindset, she aims to encourage students to become lifelong learners and active contributors to their communities.”
