About STRONG BONES
Participants in the STRONG BONES study are 30 years of age and older and planning to undergo a sleeve gastrectomy. Patients will be randomized to receive either the study drug, Risedronate, or a placebo for six months. Changes in bone density with post-surgical weight loss will be measured and compared.
You may qualify to participate if you are:
- Planning to have a sleeve gastrectomy
- 30 years of age or older at the time of surgery
